What we do
The Innovation System Research Center (IRC) at Kwansei Gakuin University was established under the leadership of Prof. Noriyuki Doi (currently Emeritus Professor) in October, 2010 to study innovation from various perspectives such as business, economics, law and technology.“Reforms”are urgent issues in many aspects of today’s Japan. In particular, innovation is one of the pressing areas of great importance. Indeed, vigorous research plays an important role in society and is necessary to inform public policy as well as business practices.
Innovation is shaped by various interacting factors. Multi-disciplinary and network-oriented approaches are, therefore, essential. Through publications, conferences and workshops, IRC is committed to bridge researchers, practitioners and decision makers in universities, industries and government agencies. IRC also strives to provide learning opportunities for graduate students and young researchers through research projects.
